Locating More Virtual Work

If you're going to go fishing, you need to know where the fish, right? There are several types of announcements site you need to be aware. Each type has pros and cons. Below; I will show you the various types of sites available for freelancers and virtual assistants and then discuss the good things and bad of each point.

Paid client sites that post their own jobs:

Does not automatically discount online employment services simply because they charge for services or because you have to "bid" on the job. I have learned that the hard way. When Jim and I started looking for more freelance work, I would not touch the site paid with a ten foot keyboard. I think they have to be a scam. Jim said, "Hey, why do not you go to this one?" I said,

"I'm not going to pay for job postings! And I'm certainly NOT going to bid against other virtual assistant to get a job!"

After much encouragement, in the Jim, I finally checked, coughed up $ 125 for three months of service, to build my profile, and start bidding. Hey, this is business, not a hobby.

In business, there is competition and you should be ready for it and deal with it. Now, I'm not saying you should go out and sign up for any paid services there - that does not work. What should you do, though, is to choose one or two paid sites offer. Team Double-Click ® VirtualAssistingUSA recently launched as an affordable source for a virtual assistant. It's affordable and a good source for virtual assistants who are looking for a good place to look for clients.

Paid sites where the site interesting post from another site (non-native use post *):

For freelancers, this site is not very useful to find a job. If the post is not original, which means that the client did not post jobs or opportunities, you can bet that the clients get so many responses that they ignore most of them. Type the site does not do much for you in the way of job postings. They may offer some other good information, but the possibility of jobs sub-standard.

Free site where clients post jobs

These sites plus the same as that paid for the site with a list of client work. Most of the same thing applies, unless they are free! One drawback to the client, however, perhaps the perceived value of the site and their services. Many people feel that if you do not have to pay for it, it should not be very good. So, maybe that you will not find many good clients and / or job listings on this site type. However, if the original post and credible, it's worth a shot.

Free sites where the site interesting post from another site (non-native use post *):

These types of sites have double-whammy for useless - Unless, of course, they can offer some kind of other information to help you in your work. But, once again, if they do not use the original postings, and pulled from other sites, jobs and their clients tend to be highly saturated with the response makes them useful in finding a job.

Employment Bureau website:

Sites like this can both to pursue. Typically, what type of site or the company is looking for his own clients and work and "share" that works with freelance pool. Actually, this is exactly what the Team Double-Click ® does not. The problem, however, is that if they are good (they pay in a timely manner, working with good clients, and if it does not treat them well freelancer), they fill quickly and well reject the additional freelancers or have a long waiting list. Perseverance is the key here. If you can connect with real people (rather than their computer), is sometimes helpful to send follow-up note to see if they've changed their acceptance policies.

Sites using non-original post:

Unfortunately, the fact that the site does not post a list of the original work is not something they advertise. This makes it more difficult for us, as a freelancer, to see if they really. Most clients do not post their job vacancies on some sites - they will choose one or two and stick with them. The best way to scrape a site that uses others' posts is quite time consuming one. You have to surf. Make a mental note (or written if necessary) from the sites you visit and post that you see on them. Then you have to refer back to, either by memory or to the log you created, and watch for patterns. If you are running on a post and remembered seeing the same posts in other places, it was a good bet that the site is "borrowed" cow posting their sites.

Another thing you can do is send an email to the company before you pay for their services. Interview them, so-to-speak.

Ask the following questions:
• Do you borrow postings from other sites?
• If yes, how much work you post the original? Request percentage.
• What do I get my $ 29.95 - exactly?
• How many new posts that you receive per day?
• What you post a job in the area, ex: IT, Administration?
• If one of your clients do not pay me for the work I do, what policies you support?
• When will my membership end?

These things will help, but again, no guarantees. You are a freelancer, which means you are in business for themselves and there is always a risk when you are in business.
